The first step toward a comprehensive network

TBV agrees a cooperation with IFK Kristianstad

In the coming years TBV Lemgo will foster an intensive cooperation with the Swedish first division team.

TBV Lemgo has taken a first and decisive step toward the establishment of a European Network. TBV has entered into an initial five-year cooperation with the Swedish first division club IFK Kristianstad, the team of goalkeeper Jesper Larsson who in this season has been active for TBV. The aim of this cooperation is wide-ranging, amongst other things, it has to do with sporting topics such as coach exchange both in the professional and in the junior sector, loan contracts for talented players but also business interests such as mutual sponsor meetings and the establishment of a sponsor network for both clubs.

"We are delighted to have found in Kristianstad a Swedish partner with whom we can cooperate in this manner. IFK is a very ambitious and professionally managed club and from this cooperation we anticipate important impulses for both sides," said TBV manager Volker Zerbe with great satisfaction as he signed the cooperation agreement. Kristianstad is an exclusive partner in Sweden for TBV Lemgo. Newly promoted to the Eliteliga, it will be the only cooperation partner in Sweden for at least the next five years. "The five years have to be seen as a strategic direction, it is certainly in the interest of both parties to have such a cooperation over a longer period. At the same time, a five-year cycle is a good period to be able to put life into the cooperation and to implement it into the daily business.

That we were given this opportunity is fantastic and we are, of course, happy that TBV chose us as cooperation partner. We have many talented players who still have a long way to go but in a few years we can maybe steer one of these players to TBV. Lemgo is not only a top address in Germany but worldwide. We also hope, of course, that some time in the future we will be able to see the Bundesliga team with us in Kristianstad. One option could be a joint training camp. For our young talented players that would be a real highlight. At the moment, the difference is definitely too big but we are planning long-term," said a visibly delighted Jesper Larsson who at IFK Kristianstad is responsible for Marketing and Public Relations in addition to his activity as goalkeeper.
